Tom Hill was a 2014 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 11th Congressional District of North Carolina.[1] Hill won the nomination in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014.[2] He was defeated by incumbent Mark Meadows (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[3]

Hill was previously a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 11th Congressional District of North Carolina.[4] Hill was defeated by Hayden Rogers in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012.[5]

Hill ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent North Carolina's 11th District. Hill won the nomination in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014, but lost in the general election to incumbent Mark Meadows (R).[2][3] The general election took place November 4, 2014.

Hill ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent North Carolina's 11th District. Hill sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was February 29, 2012. Hill faced Hayden Rogers and Cecil Bothwell in the May 8, 2012, Republican primary. Hill was defeated by Hayden Rogers in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012.[5]

The Washington Post listed the House of Representatives elections in North Carolina in 2012 as one of the 10 states that could determine whether Democrats would retake the House or Republicans would hold their majority in 2013.[6] North Carolina was rated eighth on the list.[6]
