Tom Hill is a 2014 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 11th Congressional District of North Carolina.[1] Hill won the nomination in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014.[2]

Hill was previously a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 11th Congressional District of North Carolina.[3] Hill was defeated by Hayden Rogers in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012.[4]

Hill ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent North Carolina's 11th District. Hill sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was February 29, 2012. Hill faced Hayden Rogers and Cecil Bothwell in the May 8, 2012, Republican primary. Hill was defeated by Hayden Rogers in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012.[4]

The Washington Post listed the House of Representatives elections in North Carolina in 2012 as 1 of the 10 states that could determine whether Democrats would retake the House or Republicans would hold their majority in 2013.[5] North Carolina was rated 8th on the list.[5]
