O'Brien has stated: "The Keystone state is a vital component in the nation’s economic engine. In a world where China, India and others are emerging as global economic powers, we must prepare students to compete in this climate, we must understand the benefits of keeping taxes low while still calling for corporations to contribute their fair share, and we must understand that we’re all in this fight together."[3]
