Biography
Before becoming commissioner, Kimbrell served as executive director of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators from 2005 to 2009 and, before that, as superintendent of the North Little Rock and Paragould school districts. Prior to becoming superintendent, he worked in various school administration roles, from director of fiscal services in the Paragould district to assistant principal in the Corning district. He was also a teacher and coach in the Paragould and Pocahontas districts.
