Toney Collins is a Democratic member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing the 95th District from 2009-2011.

Collins has worked as an engineer/technical consultant for Hewlett Packard, Intel, and Texas Instruments.

He is a member of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.[1]

Collins ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 113. Collins lost to Sharon Sawyer and incumbent Pam Dickerson in the Democratic primary on July 31, 2012. No candidates filed to run in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4]

Collins ran for re-election to the 95th District seat in 2010. He came in first in the July 20 primary, but lost in a primary runoff to Pam Dickerson by a margin of 660-572. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.

2008

In 2008 Collins was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 95. Collins (D) finished with 18,527 votes while his opponent Erick Hunt (R) finished with 11,442 votes.[5] Collins raised $3,500 for his campaign fund.[6]
