Tony Downey is a 2014 Republican candidate for District 18 of the Kentucky State Senate.[1] He ran unsuccessfully for District 27 of the Kentucky State Senate in 2012.

Elections for the office of Kentucky State Senate will take place in 2014. A primary election took place May 20, 2014. The general election will take place on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Robin Webb was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Tony Downey was unopposed in the Republican primary.[1][2]

Downey ran in the 2012 election for Kentucky State Senate District 27. He ran unopposed in the primary on May 22, 2012, and was defeated by Walter Blevins in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
