A Touchet School District 300 Renovation Bond proposition was narrowly approved on the February 12, 2013 election ballot in Walla Walla County, which is in Washington.

This proposition authorized the Touchet School District to increase its debt by $6.5 million by issuing general obligation bonds in that amount. This money would be used to renovate the Touchet Secondary School Building. The bonds would mature within 20 years.[1]

A 60% super-majority was required for approval.

Language on the ballot:

The Board of Directors of Touchet School District No. 300 adopted Resolution No. 04-2012-2013, concerning a proposition to finance renovation of Touchet Secondary School Building. This proposition would authorize the District to renovate Touchet Secondary School Building (including upgrading roofing, HVAC, lighting, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and technology systems; upgrading existing educational spaces and library/media center; and making fire suppression, safety, ADA accessibility, energy efficiency and site improvements); issue no more than $6,500,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 20 years.; and levy annual excess property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution No. 04-2012-2013.
