A Town of Fairfax Appointed Clerk, Measure D ballot question was on the November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the Town of Fairfax in Marin County, where it was very narrowly defeated.

If Measure D had been approved, it would have made the Office of the Town of Fairfax Clerk an appointed role, rather than an elected role. At the time of the vote on Measure D, nine of the eleven municipalities in Marin County had changed from an elected to an appointed role for their clerk.
