Pennartz is President of Pennartz and Associates. She has previously served as Associate Director of the Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center from 1975-2006, as an Adjunct Professor at Webster University, and as a journalist in the United States Navy.
Pennartz is involved with a number of organizations, including the America Reads Program, Fort Smith Art Center, Fort Smith Girls' Shelter, Fort Smith League of Women Voters, Fort Smith Literacy Council, Saint Boniface Catholic Church, Volunteer Connection, Incorporated, and Young Women's Christian Association of Fort Smith.[1]
