Tracy Steele was a Democratic member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013. He formerly served in the Arkansas State Senate, representing the 34th district from 2003 to 2011. He served as Senate Majority Leader from 2006 to 2009 and as Assistant President Pro Tempore for the 2nd District from 2009 to 2011.

Steele served in the Arkansas State House of Representatives from 1998 to 2002. He works as the CEO of STAND Foundation, Inc.

Steele was ineligible to run for re-election in 2010 due to the term limits of the Arkansas Legislature. He instead won the district 39 seat of the Arkansas House of Representatives. He defeated incumbent Richard Carroll in the May 18 primary and then ran unopposed in the November 2 general election.[1][2]
