Transportation Committee, California General Assembly
The Transportation Committee is a standing committee of the California State Assembly. Its primary jurisdictions are Transit Authority, California Highway Patrol, vehicles, aircraft, and vessels; operation, licensing and registration, and drivers licenses.
At a hearing before the committee in December 2009, John Edney of the Southern California Association of Governments said that 2010 is going to be a bad year for city finances across the state, "Next year for most cities is going to be much much worse. Next year most cities will be looking at major cuts to services."[1]
