Kelley ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 16. Kelley defeated Jennifer Hulsey in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012.[2] Incumbent Rick Crawford (D) ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][4] Kelley defeated incumbent Rick Crawford in the general election.[5]
