Five Twinsburg City Charter Amendment questions were on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Summit County, which is in Ohio, where they were approved.

The first question amended the Twinsburg City Charter to combine the Historic Preservation Commission with the Architectural Review Board.

The second question amended the Twinsburg City Charter to establish minimum criteria for the appointment of a Law Director and to require confirmation of a Law Director appointment by the City Council.

The third question amended the Twinsburg City Charter to allow the Council, advised by the Planning Commission, to designate the zoning classification of annexed land.

The fourth question amended the Twinsburg City Charter to require any alterations to the Charter of the City to be submitted to the electorate unless rejected by five or more members of the Council.

The fifth question amended the Twinsburg City Charter to change the section on Unclassified Service of the Civil Service.[1]

Text of measure

Language on the ballot for the first question:

Shall section 7.01 of Article VII of the Charter of the City of Twinsburg be amended combining the Historic Preservation Commission with the Architectural Review Board?[2]

Language on the ballot for the second question:

Shall section 7.06 of Article VII of the Charter of the City of Twinsburg be amended establishing minimum criteria for the position of Law Director; establishing that the appointment of a Law Director by the Mayor shall be confirmed by Council and acknowledging that the City may engage outside legal counsel as required?[2]

Language on the ballot for the third question:

Shall section 7A.01 and 7A.05 of Article VII of the Charter of the City of Twinsburg be amended to permit City Council, upon report and recommendation of the Planning Commission, to designate the zoning classification of land annexed to the City?[2]

Language on the ballot for the fourth question:

Shall section 10.01 of Article X of the Charter of the City of Twinsburg be amended to require that all alterations, revisions and/or amendments to the Charter as recommended by the Charter Review Commission be submitted to the electorate unless rejected by five or more members of Council?[2]

Language on the ballot for the fifth question:

Shall section 7.05 of Article VII of the Charter of the City of Twinsburg establishing the members of the Unclassified Service of the Civil Service be amended?[1][2]
