Unincorporated Areas of the County of Los Angeles Utility Users Tax, Measure U (November 2008)
Measure U reduced the existing tax on telecommunications in the unincorporated areas of the county from 5% to 4.5%, while simultaneously extending the tax to additional types of utilities, generating an overall tax increase.
