Seven Electrical Aggregation Questions measure were on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the designated areas which are in Ogle County.

Four measures were approved[1]

These measures sought to allow authorities to aggregate electricity in the areas in order to buy in bulk and allow for lower rates for residents who want to participate in the program. The communities which had this issue on their ballot include the unincorporated areas of Ogle county, the cities of Byron and Oregon as well as the villages of Forreston, Stillman Valley, Davis Junction and Monroe Center.[2]

The question on the ballot:

SHALL THE VILLAGE OF STILLMAN VALLEY, ILLINOIS, FOR EXPENDITURE FOR POLICE PROTECTION WITHIN THE VILLAGE INCREASE THE POLICE PROTECTION TAX RATE FROM 0.0056 PERCENT TO 0.6 PERCENT OF ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE VILLAGE PURSUANT TO 65 ILCS 5/11-1-5.1?
