The Urban Affairs Committee is a standing committee of the Nebraska Senate.
Function
The Urban Affairs Committee is responsible for processing legislation involving the following subject areas:
- state natural gas regulation
- cities and villages; all classes; particular classes; organization; powers and services; special districts and authorities; officers and employees; funds; annexation and zoning; planning
- tax increment financing
- sanitary and improvement districts
- Metropolitan Utilities District; Business Improvement District Act
- housing authorities law
- community antenna television service
- handicapped parking
