The Urban Affairs Committee is responsible for processing legislation involving the following subject areas:

  • cities and villages; all classes; particular classes; organization; powers and services; special districts and authorities; officers and employees; funds; annexation and zoning; planning
  • tax increment financing
  • sanitary and improvement districts
  • Metropolitan Utilities District; Business Improvement District Act
  • housing authorities law
  • community antenna television service
  • handicapped parking
