Stuart won re-election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Windham 2-1. Stuart was unopposed in the August 28 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Valerie Stuart ran for the Vermont House of Representatives Windham 3-1 in 2010. She defeated Lorie Cartwright in the Democratic primary on August 24, 2010. She defeated Richard Morton (R) in the November 2, 2010 general election.[3]
