Vancouver School District Tax Levy Renewal Proposition (February 2013)
This proposition authorized the a replacement property tax levy of $44 million in 2014, $44.6 million in 2015 and $45.2 million in 2016. The estimated levy rates for these tax collection would be 3.85 mill (%3.85 per $1,000 of assessed valuation), 3.86 mill ($3.86 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) and 3.84 mill ($3.84 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) respectively. This revenue would be used to fund educational needs and operations. This proposition is the first of two tax levy propositions proposed in the Vancouver School District. The second would impose a new property tax levy for six years but it depends on the approval of this first prop. as it does not take effect unless this proposition is passed as well.

|“|| The Board of Directors of Vancouver School District No. 37 passed Resolution No. 722 concerning this proposition to maintain current educational funding. This proposition authorizes the District to continue funding students’ educational needs and school operations by levying the following excess taxes to replace an expiring levy on all taxable property within the District, for educational programs and daily operational expenses, including textbooks, classroom materials and staff:
Year 2014: $44,000,000 (approx. $3.85/$1,000 of value)
