A Victorville hotel tax increase, Measure C was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in San Bernardino County for voters in the City of Victorville, where it was defeated.

Measure C proposed to increase the hotel tax (transient lodging tax) in Victorville from 7% to 10%.

  • Yes: 9,423 (38.6%)
  • No: 14,986 (61.4%)

The language on the ballot said:

Shall Resolution No. 08-130 of the City of Victorville be adopted, increasing the Transient Occupancy Tax (hotel/motel tax) from seven percent (7%) to ten percent (10%), which is imposed upon transients, to fund general City services?
