Thirteen Village & City Electrical Aggregation Questions were on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the designated areas of DuPage County.

Eleven municipalities approved electrical aggregation, the villages of Villa Park and Bartlett were the two areas which did not approved aggregation.[1]

These measures sought to allow city and village officials to aggregate electricity for residents who want to participate in the program in order to obtain lower rates for those who participate. Municipalities with this measure on their ballot included the villages of Addison, Bartlett, Bolingbrook, Hanover Park, Hinsdale, Itasca, Isle, Lombard, Villa Park, Westmont and Woodridge as well as the cities of Aurora and Warrenville.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the City (or Village) of _______ have the authority to arrange for the supply of electricity for its residential and small commercial retail customers who have not opted out of such program?[3]
