RICHMOND, Virginia: The Virginia State Board of Elections voted unanimously in favor of asking Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli to investigate possible fraud on the part of presidential candidate Virgil H. Goode Jr. The board is seeking an investigation of signature petitions turned in by the Constitution Party, the party that Goode is representing. According to reports, Goode has so far submitted 18,000 signatures, well over the 10,000 required by state law to gain ballot access. Time still remains for the candidate to gather names as August 24 is the final deadline for petition submission.
