Volusia County is one of 67 counties in Florida. De Land is the county seat.

Volusia County's population as of 2007 was 508,014. It is one of 20 charter counties in the state. It became a charter county in 1971.[1]

Audits

For Volusia County, the County Auditor reports to the County Manager. He is responsible for auditing the county departments and elected officials. This audit function was established by an ordinance in 1980.[12]
