Voter-registration worker indicted in Norfolk for election fraud. The woman has been charged with three counts of felony election fraud for giving voter-registration applications containing false information to the Norfolk voter registrar’s office.[1]
Group’s registration quotas may have created an incentive to submit phony applications
The accused, Cassandra McNair, worked for the Community Voters Project. Three members of the group were charged with voter fraud in July in Hampton, Virginia. The registrar in Norfolk found irregularities with hundreds of applications submitted by eight to ten canvassers. She has referred some of that paperwork to law enforcement. The problems in Hampton and Norfolk may have been the result of a quota system used by the Community Voters Project. The workers may have submitted phony paperwork to keep up with the registration goals the group sets for its employees.[1]
