Voters to have a say on the Nebraska Hunting and Fishing Amendment
LINCOLN, Nebraska: On Tuesday, March 27, the Nebraska State Legislature approved the Nebraska Hunting and Fishing Amendment on a vote of 41-3. The amendment, according to its sponsor Senator Pete Pirsch, was designed to protect hunting rights from animal advocacy groups. There was some opposition in the legislature, however. Senator Brenda Council voiced her disapproval of the measure, saying it would needlessly clutter the state constitution with issues pushed by hunting advocates.
