A newly released report done by the Brennan Center, Common Cause, and Verified Voting ranks Missouri's voting system as one of the best prepared in the nation. The report evaluated the voting systems of all 50 states, giving them a ranking on a number of issues, including security checks, accurate vote counting procedures, and machine maintenance.[1]

All positives

Missouri was one of the few states to receive a positive rating in each of the categories. Secretary of State Robin Carnahan has been working hard and was happy to hear the report. She stated, “I am pleased that the diligent efforts and careful preparation of our local election officials are being recognized on a national scale. Missouri voters should have confidence in their election system. This year, we have increased security checks on voting machines, raised the number of poll workers statewide, and invested in more training for Election Day workers.”[1]
