W. Jeff Evans was a 2011 Independent candidate for District 20 of the Virginia State Senate.

Evans joined the United States Army in 1973. He then served in Schweinfurt, Germany. Upon his return, he began working a textile job and for a lumber company. Evans was then employed as a Virginia State Trooper from 1978 to 2002.

Evans ran for election to the Virginia State Senate in 2007 but was defeated.

Evans ran in the 2011 election for Virginia Senate District 20. He faced incumbent Democrat Roscoe Reynolds and Republican Bill Stanley in the November 8 general election.
