A Waitsburg City Sales Tax Implementation measure was on the April 17, 2012 ballot in the city of Waitsburg which is in Walla Walla County.

This measure sought to implement a transportation sales tax at a rate of .001 percent for a period of ten years in order to help pay for transportation improvement costs in the city.[2]

The question on the ballot:

The City of Waitsburg Transportation Benefit District Board adopted Resolution 2012-593 concerning a sales and use tax to fund transportation improvements. This proposition would authorize a sales and use tax of one-tenth of one percent (0.001) to be collected from all taxable retail sales and uses within the district in accordance with RCW 82.14.0455 for a term of ten (10) years for the purpose of paying the costs of transportation improvements identified in section 2 of the resolution. Should this proposition be approved?
