Wally Horn (b. November 28, 1933) is a Democratic member of the Iowa Senate, representing District 17.
Education
Horn did Graduate Work at the University of Texas and Texas A&M University. He went on to earn his BS and MA from Northeastern Missouri State Teachers College in 1958 and 1962, respectively.
Professional experience
Horn served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He has worked as Teacher/Coach of Jefferson High School. He has also been a Facilitator for the Cedar Rapids Community School District Information Office.
Political experience
Horn served in the Iowa State House of Representatives as Majority Leader in 1992. He joined the Iowa State Senate in 2002. He has served in that position since, representing the 17th district.
