Washington's 7th congressional district is located in the western portion of the state, and is encompasses in King county and a small portion of Snohomish county.[1]
The district previously encompassed most of Seattle, all of Vashon Island, and portions of Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Tukwila, SeaTac, and Burien.
The current representative of the 7th congressional district is Jim McDermott (D).

The 7th congressional district of Washington held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Jim McDermott won re-election in the district.[2]

On November 2, 2010, Jim McDermott won re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, defeating Bob Jeffers-Schroder (I).[3]
