Washington April election show majority failed
TACOMA, Washington: The election held on April 26 had fifteen counties with issues on their ballots, a total of 28 measures were voted on. Of those measures, 23 were school issues, 13 were bonds and all of them were defeated as they needed a super majority of 60% to be approved. Of the 10 school levies on the ballots, eight were approved and two were defeated. There were also non school issues, four were levy measures and one was a question about expanding a fire district commission board. Of those measures, four were approved by voters and one was defeated. Three school bond issues were also on the February ballot, school officials had hoped asking again would allow them to be approved but instead they were defeated again. The next election will be held on May 17.
