Initiative 607 or I-607, an Initiative to the People, was on the November 8, 1994 ballot in the State of Washington, where it was approved.

The question was, "Shall persons other than dentists be licensed to make and sell dentures to the public, as regulated by a new state board of denture technology?"

  • Yes: 955,960 (57.6%) Approved
  • No: 703,619 (42.4%)

Path to the ballot

The language for the measure was filed on January 10, 1994 by Vallan Charron of Puyallup.

241,228 signatures were submitted and the Washington Secretary of State deemed that there were sufficient signatures to put I-607 to a vote of the people.
