Washington Four-Year Tax Levy, Amendment 9, H.J.R. 4208 was on the November 4, 1997 election ballot in Washington as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.
The question asked of voters was, "Shall the Washington Constitution be amended to permit voter-approved school district levies to run for an optional four-year period, rather than the current two-year maximum?."
Amendment 90 amended Article VII, Section 2 of the Washington State Constitution.
It was the 90th amendment approved to the Washington State Constitution subsequent to its adoption in 1889.
