The Washington Investment of Permanent Public Lands Funds Amendment, also known as Senate Joint Resolution 8212 was on the November 3, 1987 ballot in Washington as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have removed the constitutional ban on investing public land funds in stocks and private lending. The measure would have amended Section 5 of Article XVI of the Washington Constitution.[1]
