Washington Legislative and Judicial Salaries, HJR 49 (1986)
The Washington Legislative and Judicial Salaries Amendment, also known as House Joint Resolution 49, was on the November 4, 1986 ballot in Washington as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure authorized an independent commission to set salaries for elected officials. The measure amended Section 1 of Article XXVIII of the Washington Constitution.
