Washington Referendum 47, also known as the Limiting Property Taxes Act, was on the November 4, 1997 election ballot in Washington as a legislatively-referred state statute, where it was approved.

The question asked of voters was, "Shall property taxes be limited by modifying the 106 percent limit, allowing property valuation increases to be spread over time, and reducing the state levy?"
