The Washington Public Building Bonds Bill, also known as Referendum 19, was on the November 5, 1968 ballot in Washington as an legislatively-referred state statute, where it was approved. The measure authorized $63,059,000 in bonds to finance various building projects for institutions, general administration and certain higher education facilities.[1]

Aftermath

By 1970 not all of the authorized bonds were sold, despite the January 1, 1971 deadline. As a result, the legislature put Referendum 22 on the ballot to remove the deadline from the statute. That measure was defeated.
