A Wentzville School District Levy Increase measure was on the April 5, 2011 ballot in the Wentzville school district area which is in St. Charles County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 5,638 (50.62%)Approveda
  • NO 5,499 (49.38%)[1]

This measure was similar to a failed proposal made by the school in November 2010, Wentzville Levy Increase, but this one asked for a $.30 property tax increase for residents in the district area. The money generated from this tax increase will go towards building additional classrooms at elementary and middle schools and would also help construct a third high school for the district. Since this was approved, the total levy for the school will be $4.88 per $100 of assessed property value. School officials had noted that nothing had changed since November, the needs for more classrooms and a new High School was the same and were hoping that residents would be more supportive this time around.[2]
