This measure sought to increase local property taxes in the school district by $.30, making the total property taxes collected by the school $4.88 per $1,000 of assessed property value. The additional property tax would go towards paying off previous bonds that the school had.[2]

The money was noted that it was going to be used to pay off existing or previous bonds. It would have been also used to finance the expansion of District elementary and middle schools and the construction of a third high school to accommodate current enrollment and future growth in the District.[3].
