Wesley Whitead was a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing the 1st District from 2003-2010.

Whitead served in the United States Army. He is a member of the Riverside Project Committee, Sioux City Planning and Zoning, and Siouxland Metropolitan Planning Council Organization.[1]

On November 4, 2008, Whitead was re-elected to the 1st District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Jeremy Taylor (R).[2] Whitead raised $87,508 for his campaign, while Taylor raised $70,523.[3]
