The West Hills school bonds, Measures C and E were on the November 4, 2008 ballot in Fresno and Monterey counties, for voters in the West Hills Community College district.
  • Measure C authorized $11.6 million in bonds. It was approved with 65.74% of the vote. It was for voters in District 2 of the School Facilities Improvement District.
  • Measure E authorized $31 million in bonds. It was approved with 58.63% of the vote. It was for voters in District 3 of the School Facilities Improvement District.

The language on the ballot for Measure C said:

To improve the quality of education; renovate and construct classrooms and educational facilities; acquire land; improve energy efficiency; upgrade electrical systems to improve access to computers and technology; and make the District eligible for up to $50.0 million in State matching funds; shall the School Facilities Improvement District No. 2 (Coalinga Area) of the West Hills Community College District issue $11.6 million in bonds, at legal rates, with citizen oversight, guaranteed annual financial audits, no money for administrators' salaries?

The language on the ballot for Measure E said:

To improve the quality of education; renovate and construct classrooms and educational facilities; acquire land; improve energy efficiency; upgrade electrical systems to improve access to computers and technology; and make the District eligible for up to $50.0 million in State matching funds; shall the School Facilities Improvement District No. 2 (Coalinga Area) of the West Hills Community College District issue $11.6 million in bonds, at legal rates, with citizen oversight, guaranteed annual financial audits, no money for administrators' salaries?

Note: Measure E was also on the ballot in Kings County, for voters in the Measure E district.
