Weston Town and School Budget Referendum (April 2010)
A Weston Town and School Budget Referendum was held on April 15, 2010 in the town of Weston which is in Fairfield County.
Both budgets were approved by voters.
- YES 663
- NO 441
This was the first time Weston town resident voted on the two proposed budget by a paper ballot. A petition was submitted to hold the referendum on the two budgets and have a secret ballot vote instead of a voice vote in the annual town meeting which is how it was usually done. Town officials had to reschedule the meeting in order to hold the referendum at a late enough date to get paper ballots.
The annual town meeting was held on April 8, both budgets were passed in their entirety meaning voters will choose to keep them or not on April 15.
