Brownsberger served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the Twenty-Fourth Middlesex District from 2007 to 2012. He also served on the Belmont Board of Selectmen from 1998 to 2007.
Biography
Brownsberger's professional experience includes working as a Defense Attorney and Associate Director of the Harvard University Division on Addictions. He has previously worked as Assistant Attorney General of Massachusetts, a consultant with Oliver Wyman and Company, Vice President of Goldman Sachs and Company, and a Project Manager with Morgan Stanley and Company, Incorporated.[3]

Election history
2012
Brownsberger won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts State Senate Second Suffolk and Middlesex District. Brownsberger was unopposed in the September 6 Democratic primary and defeated Steven Aylward (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6]
2012 special election
Brownsberger won election in the special election for the 2nd Suffolk and Middlesex Senate District. He defeated fellow representative Jonathan Hecht (D) and two other candidates in the December 13, 2011 primary election. Brownsberger was unopposed in the special general election which took place on January 10, 2012.[7][8]
2010
Brownsberger won re-election to the Twenty-fourth Middlesex Seat in the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2010. He had no primary opposition. He defeated Lalig Musserian (I) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[9]
