William Thigpen was a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing the 16th District from 1998 to 2010.


Thigpen's professional experience includes working as an insurance Agent for Thigpen Insurance and owning Thigpen Ford Mercury from 1994 to 2002. He served as a Major in the Alabama Air Reserve and National Guard from 1958 to 1986.

Thigpen is the former President of Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and was co-founder of the L.E.A.F. Program.[1]
