The language that appeared on the ballot:
"Shall Chapter 556 of the laws of 1919 entitled, 'An act to suspend the operation of chapter 66 of the statutes of 1917 entitled Excise and the sale of intoxicating liquors and to create section 1569-1 to 1569-22, inclusive of the statutes, relating to intoxicating liquors, to provide for the enforcement of Article 18 of the Constitution of the United States, providing penalties, making an appropriation and defining intoxicating liquor be continued of force and effect?"[2]
