Wisconsin Senate to vote on January 19th on issue ad legislation
Senate Bill 43 is campaign finance related legislation that would require all disclosure of donors for issue ads funded by independent expenditure campaigns for any election including statewide referendums.
The legislation calls for disclaimers on advertisements and disclosure of donors if the issue ad is placed in the final sixty days of an election. Groups such as Common Cause of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Democracy Council fully endorse the legislation.
