The Wisconsin State Annuity Insurance Amendment was a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment on the November 3, 1914 ballot in Wisconsin, where it was defeated.

  • This amendment sought to create Article VIII, Section 11 of the Wisconsin Constitution to allow for the creation of a state annuity insurance system.[1]

Text of measure

The language that appeared on the ballot:

"For amendment creating section 11 of article VIII, permitting insurance by the state and providing that the state may grant annuities, with an annual accounting, a separation and safeguarding of all insurance funds."[2]
