Chapter 177, Laws 1895.
An act to submit to the people an amendment to section 1, of article 10, of the constitution of the state of Wisconsin.
Whereas. At the biennial session of the legislature of this state for the year 1893, an amendment to the constitution of this state was proposed and agreed to by a majority of the members elected to each of the two house, which prosed amendment was in the following language:
"Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That section 1, article 10, of the constitution of the state of Wisconsin be amended by striking out this sentence: 'Provided, that his compensation shall not exceed the sum twelve hundred dollars annually.'"[3]
