This measure sought to issue a bond which would build a new K-8 building in the district. The new proposed building would have replaced the Woodmore Elementary School building, nearly 100 years old it has had consistently increasing structural issues arise as well as additional natural disaster damage occur in recent years. The school district did not know yet the cost of the new school project, but noted that it would be better in the long run to build a totally new facility rather than keep making repairs to the current old building.[3]
