Little Rock, Arkansas: The Arkansas Attorney General's office approved language on a proposal submitted by Regnant Populus. The same group gathered signatures last year in an effort to get an initiative on the ballot but failed to acquire the 62,000 necessary signatures. Should they succeed to get those signatures in 2013, the ballot measure will be up for a vote next year.

The proposed ballot measure seeks to create stricter rules on lobbyist gifts and campaign contributions, in addition to increasing the time a lawmaker must wait before becoming a lobbyist after they finish serving.[1]
