The Workers' Voice is a Super PAC that was started by the AFL-CIO.[1]

Financial distribution method

The Workers' Voice is trying a new method of distributing Super PAC funds. Citizens, whether AFL-CIO members or not, can register with the Super PAC and log campaign activities, such as phone-banking or get-out-the-vote efforts. These volunteer hours can earn them a say in how Workers' Voice spends its funds.[2]

2012 elections

According to the Sunlight Foundation, the Workers' Voice PAC spent $5,878,449 on the 2012 elections. Of those funds, 76.14 percent achieved the desired result, based on Sunlight Foundation analysis.[3]

March 2012

As of March 31, 2012, the Workers' Voice PAC had spent 1,825,359,[4] with independent expenditures totaling $2,932. The independent expenditures were in support of Mark Critz (D) of Pennsyvlania. [5]
