Profiles of members of Congress

Unlike state offices, incumbent profiles should include the {{polinfobox}} template. Below is the code which should be added to all incumbent profiles. For usage details, click here.

Note: the "Position" field should be filled in with the following format - U.S. House, South Carolina, District 5

Profiles of congressional districts

The information for each congressional district can be found on this U.S. census website Congressional district infoboxes should contain the following information:

  • District
  • Incumbent/party
  • District image
  • Population
  • Gender
  • Race
  • Ethnicity
  • Unemployment %
  • Median income
  • High school grad rate
  • College grad rate (bachelor's or higher)
  • Next election date (Defaults to 2014 general election. If there is a special election preceding it, you must use the Special date and Special year parameters. Otherwise leave them blank or don't include them.)

Congressional district maps for all states can be found here. To get the image, open the link for your state that says Print PDF Map. From there take a snip around the borders of the district and save it. When uploading these images, the proper tag to use is the {{pd-fedgov | link = }} tag, where you paste in the URL of the PDF after link. The category is [[Category:Images of congressional districts, STATE]]. Also, make sure to use the {{wimages}} template on the talk page of the uploaded image.

Profiles of committees

Profiles of federal office holders

Profiles of federal office holders use the same {{polinfobox}} template as members of congress. Below is the code which should be added to all profiles. For usage details, click here.

When uploading these images, the proper tag to use is the {{pd-fedgov | link = }} tag, where you paste in the URL of the PDF after link. The category is [[Category:Federal affairs images]]. Also, make sure to use the {{wimages}} template on the talk page of the uploaded image.

State delegations pages

State delegations infoboxes should contain the following information, which with the exception of 2012 pres results can all be found from The Almanac of American Politics:

  • State
  • State image
  • Population
  • Gender
  • Race
  • Ethnicity
  • Voter turnout
  • Voter registration figures
  • Any special elections
  • Whether or not there is an upcoming senate election
  • Unemployment rate
  • Median income
  • 2012 presidential results
